The Symphony Called Me
The Symphony Called Me
Higher self, inner child, shadow — none silenced — the symphony that is a person.
The Symphony Called Me brings together the many selves that exist within a single person — the higher self, the inner child, the shadow, the protector, the dreamer and everything in between.
Robed figures stand beneath a lightning-struck sky, one raising a blade of light. Each figure becomes a different voice within the self, carrying its own history, instinct and desire. None is asked to disappear. None is given greater importance than the others.
The work explores the possibility that wholeness does not come from silencing the parts of ourselves we find difficult, but from allowing every part to exist within the same composition.
What emerges is not harmony in the conventional sense, but something more honest — a symphony made from contradiction, memory, light and shadow.
All the parts of me, finally playing together.
