The Awakening
The Awakening
Waking in six movements — chaos, bliss, dark night, void, groundedness, purpose.
The Awakening traces an inward journey through the shifting states of consciousness that accompany transformation. A face turns across a wheeling cityscape, suspended between fire, darkness and a distant red planet — each element becoming part of a landscape that is as psychological as it is cosmic.
The journey begins in chaos, where everything familiar is unsettled. It moves through moments of bliss, before descending into the dark night of the soul — the place where certainty falls away and we are forced to confront what lies beneath it. From there comes the void, a strange stillness where nothing can be held onto and nothing yet feels certain.
But the void eventually gives way to groundedness. What once felt like disintegration begins to become integration. And from that grounding emerges purpose — not as something discovered outside oneself, but as something shaped through everything that came before.
The Awakening is therefore not a depiction of a single moment of enlightenment. It is a map of becoming: six movements through chaos, surrender, emptiness and return, drawn from the inside.
Sometimes awakening is not about becoming someone new.
It is about finally seeing who you have become.
